For someone who has never knit lace, used laceweight, or even imagined knitting lace I have started buying laceweight!
And there just so happens to be a little lace stole in my new book – just the right size project for the skein my KTC swap partner sent me.
Check out the closeup on this inky blue and purple yarn. It was a complete steal at DeStash. I mean $8 US including shipping people!
This morning I caught up on Lost – I was supposed to catch up on The Office too, but something went terribly, terribly wrong and only the first 3 minutes was recorded – Curses!!
While I watched and worked on my Stacy Pullover, Kira caught a quick nap.
She was laying on top of the couch behind me, slid onto my back and rested her chin on my shoulder. I think she will do anything for a photo op!
Thank you very much for all of your supportive comments re: my last weigh in. I have had a very good week – well, is it a week when it starts on Weds? I am back on track. Eating loads of veggies – in fact, when I am eating all my veggies I have a hard time using up all of my daily points – go figure.
We seem to be experiencing a sock anomaly here. The Cotillion sock that I knit (the one that was too short in the foot) fits my Mom perfectly. My Mom decided to try her hand at sock knitting after a 25 yr hiatus. She’s using the Simple Ribbed Sock pattern from Nancy Bush’s Vintage Socks. And guess what? It doesn’t fit her but…
It fits my Aunty perfectly! She is using some of the lovely hand dyed yarn I won from KnitPastis.
My Aunt has decided she would like to try knitting socks again as well. She is going to use the Ladies Useful Stockings from Vintage Socks – I am off to find her some sock wool online.
Any takers on who her socks will fit?
ETA: I decided to edit my sidebar to reflect the knitting I am no longer working on. I’ll pick it up later – just not anytime soon!
