I’m going to start with the yarn. The lovely, lovely yarn.
So soft. So pretty. Spun with Silver!
This gorgeous skein of fibrey wonder is from Woolgirl. You can buy yours here.
I am not sure what this extra special yarn will become yet. I am waiting for it to whisper it’s innermost dream to me. In the meanwhile I watch it glimmer in the light.
Which should be good because…I’m going to be frogging soon. Maybe not tonight. I might not have the heart.
This is the last time you saw the 2nd Anemoi Mitten:

Last night I finished it. Even the thumb as I watched Dexter on network television and laughed over Doaks’ vehement declaration that Dexter was a “MotherLover!”.
I’m not laughing now. Earlier that day I had been talking to my Aunty Elaine, the recipient-to-be of the Mitts. Joking about how much tenser I must be one year later, because the 2nd glove seems tighter and smaller than the 1st.
Oh. Ha, ha, ha. I thought some severe blocking would make the difference. But as I held the finished glove up to the 1st the small stitches really hit me. With sickening dread I referred back to the pattern.
See the picture below?
That is where I should have stopped. But oh no, I pressed on. With my head cold & cough and lack of sleep.
Yeah. Right there is where I was supposed to switch from 2.25 mm needles to 2.75 mm needles. Only, I had gone up to 3.00 mm needles with the 1st glove – and dutifully written that in the margin of my pattern.
My Aunt came for an emergency fitting today. Not a chance on earth they’ll fit. It’s a good thing she loves me. And it makes it a little easier that it was 15 degrees out today.
I think I’m going to cast on a new sweater instead tonight!
Comfort Blanket Update: We have 11 knitters/crocheters volunteering to make squares. Thank you so much! If you aren’t able to make squares, would you link to the project on your blog?

Bummer! I hope it doesn’t take you too long to redo Anemoi.
Oh, I’ll knit a square or two [or three]! Email me, please…
I should be able to do a few. I will get back to you soon with details. (Is cotton okay?)
Beautiful yarn!
I can probably squeeze out a square…I’ll let you know when it’s done. Also, how big is his head? I can do hats on my CSM…
Oh no! Well, the second time around should go faster, right? When you can stand to look at it, of course.
What sweater are you going to cast on for?
I can knit a square – what’s your time frame in case I want to get done early (har dee har har)?
