This fantastic hat is popping up all over the knit blogiverse! And now I know why.
This knit is so satisfying. Quick, easy & fun all at the same time. It’s really quite a cute knit too.
Pattern: Capitan Hat by Rosie G
Yarn: Phildar Sport No.6
1 & 1/4 skeins
Buttons: from one of my Mom’s bins!
My 1st PS3: Elements knit. I’ve been exploring other avenues of the Elements – such as diet. So far I have made pancakes with roasted beet puree (umm…so delicious and they were a gorgeous shade of burgundy) and Chicken Tortilla Soup. I’m trying to ensure I include a healthy selection of ‘reds’ in my daily fare: tomatoes, red peppers, grapes…Hawkins Cheezies are orange…and lately a lot of pink grapefruit juice — curse you cough!
Ooh! btw: Carpooling won 3rd Prize in Bella Knitting’s contest. Kira’s blankie will be so well taken care of! Thank you Laura & Sarah. Please go check out the other entrants posts – they’re fantastic.
On that front I have one last section of blankie to crochet and sew on and then only have a border to add — I’m hoping that will smooth things out a bit. Not the tidiest of edges at the moment. And then Kira won’t have to make do with whichever sweater has been left in the car…

Great job on the hat! Now you know my secret – totally easy and quick, huh?
It looks awesome! I like the idea that it knits up so quickly and totally see why everyone loves this hat.
